Southport Scouts History

1 – History of Scouting in Southport – Volumes 1 to 4 – These volumes contain a detailed history covering the years 1907 to 1983

2 – History of Scouting in Ainsdale – Prepared when Ainsdale reached its centenary of Scouting in 2011.

3 – ‘Scouting Sunrise’ – A photographic documentation of when Southport District took part in a worldwide Scouting event to mark the centenary of Scouting in 2007.

4 – ‘Centenary Camp’ – A photographic documentation of a joint Camp that took place at Scarisbrick Hall with Southport & Formby Districts in May 2007. This was also to mark the Centenary of Scouting.

5 – ‘Big Adventure’ Weekend – Knowsley – A record of Chief Scout’s ‘Bear Grylls’ tour of the Northwest in May 2013 and when he met our Beavers and Cubs at Knowsley Safari Park.

6 – ‘Big Adventure’ Weekend – Festival Gardens – A continuation of the Chief Scout’s tour in May 2013 where we attended some World Record Attempts
